2022 Update
We will not be hosting the Kiwanis Apple Festival in 2022 due to the relocation of Kamp Kiwanis at the end of August 2022. We will explore opportunities for Kiwanis Apple Festival in future years. We appreciate the support of the community over the past 7 years and thank you for your understanding.
The 2021 Kiwanis Apple Festival was
Supported by the Government of Alberta as Part of
With Support From
Apple Themed Family Fun
A celebration of our past - Kiwanis members in Calgary sold baskets of apples as one of our major fundraisers through the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Kiwanians could be found throughout Calgary every summer, during the Calgary Stampede, and other major events, selling apples. Net revenues went to various local Kiwanis projects as well as running the Children's Summer Programs at Kamp Kiwanis. While apple selling is no longer a means of raising funds, Kiwanis continues to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support local underprivileged children such that they might enjoy an outdoor camp experience that, without Kiwanis, may not be possible.
The Kiwanis Apple Festival is a celebration of our history, a celebration of children, and a celebration of special cuisine, entertainment, education and outdoor exploration of a very special place - Kamp Kiwanis. The weekend festival plans include apple juice pressing, archery, crafts and games, live entertainment, a market place, online silent auction, and so much more. And best of all admission is FREE! We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of everyone in attendance at the festival.
